Association

Created in December 2023, the “Pastel en Abers” association was born from the desire to share our passion for pastel. We admire the talent of the pastellists and the variety of their works. We take great pleasure in meeting the local artists around us and seeing their art,…. and, there are great talents among our pastellists in Brittany!

We wanted to share this, and much more with you.

We want to reach a wide audience,

offering  the opportunity to discover pastel, and offering artists the opportunity to share their view of the world. And all this, here, at the outer end of Finistère….

For the record, the word Finistère suggests that we are at the “end of the earth”. However, the Breton language opens up another perspective; the translation of Finistère, in Breton, is “Pen ar Bed”, that is to say “the beginning of the world”.

The “Pastel biennial in Abers”  will not only be an exhibition of international pastel artists but also meetings, exchanges, courses, demonstrations…
